The Ocracoke Civic & Business Association (OCBA) was founded and incorporated in 1991.
We are a non-profit corporation organized primarily to further the common good and general welfare of residents of and visitors to Ocracoke within the meaning of Section 501 (c) (4) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The OCBA strives to provide opportunities for dialogue, education, advancement and improvement of all aspects of its Contributors through meetings, training, communications, publications, and other programs and activities.
The OCBA coordinates several island events: the July 4 activities including professional fireworks, the semi-annual Island-Wide Yard Sale (fall and spring), Blackbeard’s Pirate Jamboree (late October or early November), the Holiday Market (late November) and the Island Celebration (holiday lights competition).
Board meetings are held the third Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m. in the Ocracoke Community Center.
